Scripture Reference: Psalms 119:105

Every day the sun rises and the sun sets on earth, it provides the necessary light and energy that we need to live.  We know the difference between day and night, light and darkness.  There’s a clear awareness that we are able to see and get around better during the day than the night.  Even though, as the sun sets and the moon rises giving a much lesser light for the night; we need help to move about in darkness. So, street lights, flashlights, automobile head lights, light bulbs and bulbs were created to help illuminate our surroundings when darkness comes. You and I have come to depend on these necessities for they provide clarity and safety as we move about in this world.

Our Creator of the universe, Omnipotent God, “spoke” and created the day, night and the planets for the physical needs of humanity living on earth.  Just as He provided light that shines on the earth so that we can see our way; God made another Way called Jesus, the Light of the world. We are living in challenging times in a world that is spiritually dark and upside down.  Perhaps your circumstances are the same with the rising and setting of the sun and you are unclear about a better future. Don’t let your future become symptomatic of your past and lead you down the wrong path. Jesus is the truth, way, and life. He has equipped you with His light to follow Him.

As Christians, we are being sent as Ambassadors of Christ in the authority of His name with Grace to live and walk streets that are dark bringing hope to others. The light always penetrates the darkness and exposes what can’t be seen. Psalms 119:105 declares that “Thy Word is a lamp to my path and a light to my feet”.  In our daily personal walk with Jesus Christ, we need His word to be a lamp to our paths and His light to be upon our feet so that we do not stumble and fall into unseen obstacles. His word will shine truth into your lives, it demolishes deceptive philosophy and opens your spiritual eyes keeping you focused on His Divine path and ordained steps for your lives.  I want to encourage you to meditate on God’s Word and depend on it as a lamp and light for your life.

Prayer Reflection:  Oh God, I confess that I can’t find my way without You leading me. Let Your Holy Spirit quicken me to depend and rely on the Words of Jesus daily. Thank You for loving me. In Jesus Name.
