Scripture Reference: Psalm 85:10-13 (NKJV)
Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth, And righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yes, the Lord will give what is good; And our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before Him, And shall make His footsteps our pathway.
As children of the Living Most High God of Heaven and earth, we can have the confidence and faith in knowing that God cares for each one of us and the land we live in. Regardless of what is going on in the world, His eyes are always upon us. Throughout the Psalms, King David and others express their confidence in the Lord. We too can know God in the same way that David knew Him, by receiving Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord. The covenant relationship He enters into with us, guarantees that our cries and prayers are heard, received, and answered by God our Father. He loves us and wants to bring revival and healing to our lives for His glory.
Throughout the Psalms, we read encounters with the True and Living God and we see His forgiveness after unfaithfulness and His restoration power to revive what belongs to Him.
I invite you to read Psalm 85, which is an experience of the sons of Korah, who were Levites, from the family of Kohath, who by David’s time seems to serve in the musical aspect of the temple worship (2 Chronicles 20:19). As you read, see the gratitude of the people for God’s favor, restoration, revival, and their confidence in God’s response to them.*
Prayer : Father God, in the Name of Jesus, we stand in confidence as Your children, that your footsteps are our pathway, as Your mercy and truth meet together. Amen.
