Scripture References: Exodus 23:29-31, Isaiah 58, John 15

In Exodus 23:29-31 God shows us His strategy for deliverance as He fights for the Israelites.  He told them, “I will not drive the (the enemy) out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you.  Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land.  . . .For I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your have, and you shall drive them out before you.”

As we partake of God’s gift of deliverance, we sometimes become concerned when we don’t see the instant manifestations of the proof of His deliverance.  We know in our spirits that a change has taken place, but we are looking to see the change and freedom in the natural.  Deliverance is an ongoing process.  As God delivers and heals us, He then continues us in Process, driving out the unclean as HE strengthens us – renewing our minds to be able to occupy, guard, and protect the land, our inheritance against demonic invasion.

John 15:4-5 reminds us that if we abide in Him and His Word abides in us, that we will bear much fruit, but apart from Him we can do nothing.  We stand in our deliverance knowing that God is the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).  He is the Deliverer and Healer.  He is the only One who can bring us to His expected end.

As we abide in the Lord, we wake up each morning and grab hold of the daily benefits that He affords us; His new mercies and grace.  We see that the areas where we were once weak and infested, are now healed and fortified in the Lord.  Our spirits are renewed as our hope is restored.  We see positive change as we are able to release our God given fruit in our spheres of influence (our families, other relationships, ministry and business arenas) and see the new fruit of our deliverance and healing and to see it remain.

As we walk in our deliverance, we begin to see God restoring us, satisfying our souls, strengthening our bones, and making us like well watered gardens.  We see our springs of waters being released and we know that in Christ Jesus, our waters do not fail.  We can trust that God, our Deliverer, is preparing us to build the old waste places and raise up the foundations of many generations.  So we abide and rest in Him, as we continue renewing our mind and walking by faith in our deliverance.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being the Repairer of the breached and compromised areas of our lives. Thank You for healing and restoring us and our generations.  As we abide in You in our deliverance, we stand in Your strength and move forward to occupy the land You have for us.  We release the fruit of Your glory that comes from abiding in You, in Your deliverance.  In Jesus’ Name.
